What it is — and what it isn’t.

Microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin using a medical pen or derma roller, which triggers a wound-healing cascade that lays down fresh collagen and elastin over the following weeks. The change is gradual and structural — firmer, more even skin rather than an immediate surface effect. It is used for atrophic acne scars, enlarged pores, fine lines, stretch marks and general textural rejuvenation, and can be run across the face, neck, décolletage, body and — in a shallower protocol — the scalp. Sessions are spaced four to six weeks apart so the skin finishes one repair cycle before the next begins. While the channels are open, a serum, hyaluronic acid, PRP or mesotherapy solution can be infused more evenly when the concern calls for it. It is deliberately not performed over active infection, open lesions or untreated acne, and is approached cautiously where there is a keloid tendency.

Best suited for these concerns.

The process, step by step.

Skin Assessment

Concern, skin type and treatment depth are assessed, and active acne, infection or keloid tendency ruled out.

Numbing

Topical anaesthetic is applied for about 30 minutes.

Microneedling

A medical pen or roller creates measured-depth channels in controlled passes over the treatment area.

Infusion

An optional serum, PRP or hyaluronic acid is massaged in immediately while the channels are open.

Aftercare

Cooling, a barrier cream and strict sun protection; makeup is held for about 24 hours.

Practical details, no surprises.

Duration
60–90 minutes
Downtime
24–48 hours redness, light flaking 3–5 days
Results
Visible after 2–3 sessions; final at about 6 months
Frequency
Course of 4–6 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, then maintenance

Questions we hear often.

Topical numbing keeps it comfortable; most describe light scratching or a pressure sensation.
